This year’s Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show was more than just an annual celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and horticultural brilliance – it was a landmark event for our company.
We were proud to mark our 10-year anniversary by not only sponsoring the “Straightcurve Breaking Free Welcome Garden” – one of the first things visitors saw upon entering the show – but also by showcasing our most innovative and design-friendly landscaping products to date.
Whether you’re a DIY home gardener dreaming of a backyard transformation or a professional landscaper or designer searching for durable, high-end materials, this year’s show was filled with inspiration and practical insight. It also gave us the perfect opportunity to demonstrate what a decade of innovation in garden design really looks like.
This article is for you if you didn’t make it to MIFGS and want to know what you missed from Straightcurve.
Special thanks to urban landscape architect Bayley Luutomes, plus Mitch Farina and Laura van Wensveen from Bespoke Landscape & Design, for showcasing our products in the “Straightcurve Breaking Free MIFGS Welcome Garden” this year – a masterclass in thinking outside the box (or cube) and a perfect way to celebrate the versatility of our range.
First impressions matter, and as proud sponsors of the “Straightcurve Breaking Free Welcome Garden” at this year’s MIFGS, we had the unique opportunity to set the tone for the entire event.
Working with talented urban landscape designer Bayley Luutomes and Pro Landscapers Mitch and Laura from Bespoke, we supplied our signature range of steel landscape products – including our Flex 240mm Raised Garden Bed System and modular galvanised steel planters – to help bring their vision to life.
Visitors were welcomed into a space that combined thoughtful design with real-world practicality. The garden reflected everything we stand for: durability, ease of installation, aesthetic consistency, and a deep love for outdoor spaces.
Whether you’re into bright & bold colours and blocky shapes, or a more subtle colour palette mated to gently sweeping curves, the Welcome Garden offered a masterclass in impressive yet achievable design. It was a true example of what’s possible when high-quality materials meet creative minds – and a great way to highlight how our products can bring out the best in any garden, large or small.

At the heart of our display was our newly released ClickConnect™ Garden Edging System, a revolutionary modular solution that makes it easier than ever to achieve crisp, professional edges without the need for special tools or complicated assembly. Developed with homeowners, designers, and landscape contractors in mind, ClickConnect™ delivers structural strength and visual impact with a fast and intuitive installation process.

When you’re building a garden installation on a tight deadline, you need products that just work. The Melbourne show gave us a unique opportunity to test our materials under real-world time pressure—we had just nine days to build the Welcome Garden and our stand.
The result?
✅ Smooth assembly
✅ No special tools required
✅ Professional-grade finish under tight timelines
The show team, along with our partner landscapers and designers, put our systems to work in real-world conditions, where time was tight and the stakes were high. The result? Everything went in smoothly, held up beautifully, and looked stunning. It was living proof that our products are not only designed to perform, but also to save time, reduce labour, and minimise fuss – without sacrificing style.
Something you might not consider or notice when visiting a show like MIFGS is that just preparing for the show is a reminder that great garden design starts with user-friendly, durable materials – especially when the clock is ticking.
